Our Green Play Doh Creation!

Play Dough

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
½ cup salt
2 tbsp cream of tartar
2 cups boiling water
1 tsp food colouring

On the 17th of March my class and I created play dough for Saint Patrick's Day. It happened in the
3rd block of school, after all the fun activities we did in the middle block.

First we had to be separated into 5 groups. Next we received 1 large pot, which we placed  all of our
ingredients in. After the mixture came together we added glitter to bling up our play dough. The
outcome of the play dough fitted with the Saint Patrick's Day vibe. Lastly after doing all the steps to
make a home/class made play dough we started making it into different shapes and figures.

After creating the play dough we molded it into a snake like figure and  formed it into spiral.
After we showed the teacher our spiral, she asked us if we could create a maze. We had to  blow a
white smooth foam ball around the maze using a bendy straw. After testing out our maze it turned out
pretty good. Below is an image of the maze:

After squeezing and crushing our lump of leprechaun goop, we dumped it into a air tight zip lock bag
so that it would not grow mold.

After all our work my group and I enjoyed creating all the different shapes and figures using the play
dough we created.

L.I.:We are writing a recount about making play dough and creating a game around it.
