I woke up at 10 in the morning because my parents promised us that we would go biking around the basin. After breakfast, we put on our safety gear and our helmets on while my father sets up the bikes for us. Then we went to the basin. My father rode my bike because he was worried that I might hit some one on our way down to the basin.
When we arrived at the basin my father returned my bike and I rode my bike while my brother led us. I saw the big lake and there were ducks and sea gulls. The ducks were floating freely on the water. My parents were always behind because my brother and I were speeding ahead. We had to stop often to wait for our parents.
We stopped at the first park to play. There were slides, swing, and a lot of sand. We waited for our parents to arrive before we continued on the path. When we reached a high spot we stopped again to look at the view and to have some rest. When we had biked around the basin once, my parents went to check out the pools at YMCA so we waited for 10 minutes at the park. We arrived at home very tired. But it was a fun experienced.
Learning Intention:We are learning to write a recount.
Success Criteria:I know I can do this when I use past tense verbs to describe my weekend biking around the basin.
