my conclusion for this year!

My conclusion for this year is great conclusion for me because I met a new teacher and I also learnt lots
of new stuff like poems and geometry.

I loved participating on every single thing that I get on. I enjoyed serving, doing road patrol, and being the 
librarian because I can help the school in church. I enjoyed doing the fruit, however I did had wake up 
early and leave early, but it was worth it. As a cameraman for the film festival I enjoyed working with different people to make a the film.

All the event this year we very fun but my top 3 are the last assembly, mission day and Saint Patrick's day.
For the last day of school I enjoyed performing and watching our items. Mission day was a fun day to 
spend our money for a good cost.Saint Patrick's was a great day because the activities were fun and 
creative.

My top 3 P.E. activities were or after school basketball competition, or Beep Test and athletic’s day. I enjoy
ed playing basketball with other people outside of our school. Doing the Beep Test was fund and helpful to 
increase my agility. Athletics day help me identify the fastest person in our school.

My learning on Poems we very fun because it extended my creativity and I also learnt different types of 
poems. My learning on reading helped me improve my skill find the main part in a story. Math was 
extremely fun because of the game prodigy where they combined maths with fun.

My conclusion of this year was very fun and incredible.

Pilgrim-A person who travels to other places.

Lots of people go to a pilgrimage. Often these places will be holy places.  These holy places
can be anywhere but I have a particular place that I would like to go to.

1. I would like to visit the  Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed before he was crucified and died on the cross. When I’ll arrived there I will look for  the place where Jesus prayed and then I will pray beside the place Jesus sprayed on.

The Life of Stan Lee!

 

Stanley Martin Lieber well known as Stan Lee, is a respected comic creator who created/constructed most of Marvel characters which are Fantastic Four, Xmen, Avengers and many more.

He was born in America, New York City on 28 December on 1922. Before he joined ‘Timely comic(marvel)’ he fought in World War 2. Two years later he got married to Joan B.lee and had 2 daughters, Joan Celia and Jan lee.

In 1939 he joined Timely Comics (Marvel Comics) as an office assistant and then he soon became an interim editor in the early 1940’s. Soon after, in the early 60’s he  was called by his boss to create a comic series for Marvel Comics that can compete with rival DC Comics’ hit title Justice League of America’. Soon after that he was partnered with artist and co-creator Jack Kirby,  and they created ‘The Fantastic Four’ in 1961.

Years later Stan Lee created many original heroes for Marvel like The Avengers, Daredevil, X Men and Spiderman. He is very well known for The movie ‘The Avengers’ created in 2012, which got 304 fresh tomato and 26 rotten tomato on Rotten Tomato, and got 8 out of 10 ratings.

Now he had published the movies ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Avengers Infinity War’. He is also working on the movie ‘Venom’ with a release date of 4th of October 2018 and Ant man and the wasp on 5th of July 2018. Recently Stan Lee sent a report about being abused by his business manager and now being investigated by police.

Stan Lee was probably the reason Marvel is now one of the most popular movie and comic company. Stan lee is a inspiration to me because he has lots of great movies and he is a amazing artist.

Intro:

An Octopoda / Octopus mostly live in warm water. It is a spine less cephalopod,
which means it can go through any hole within its beak length and wight .
It has a lifespan of 3-5 years.

Appearance:

An Octopus can grow to about 4.3 and 15.kg. It sustains its form by the water pressure.
its tentacle can have at least 240 suction cups. It can change colours by a thing called
chromatophore, Which is made up of a saccule containing pigment as well as 15-25 muscles,
they use this power to hide or to scare predators. When the muscles are contracted,
the saccule expands making more of the pigment visible. Its beak act like scissors that can
break a crabs shell.

Habitat:

Most octopus species prefer staying in warm because they are cold blooded.  
Octopodes can survive on land for short periods of time, because oxygen is absorbed
through the skin, instead of the gills. An octopus can't live in freshwater because it has
evolved to live in sea water which has a much higher salinity than freshwater.

Diet:

Octopuses eat small crabs and scallops, plus some snails, fish, turtles, crustaceans(shrimp).
They are carnivore which means it eats meat. The octopus’ can taste by it’s suction cups which
helps them navigate through the corals to catch its prey.

Behaviour:

Its hunting style is to wait for his prey, then chase it and corner it in to a coral by making  a dome
out of stretch muscle to contain in it. Its tentacle pass the prey to one another and then feed it to
its beak. He hide from the predators by changing hit appearance and his texture using its little
tiny muscle and its chromatophore. It moves with a mobility called ‘jet propulsion’ which means
sucking water into its muscular sac (water pack) in the mantle cavity (space or hole in your body)
surrounding their bodies and quickly expelling (spit) it out a narrow siphon (move water).

Evolution/adaptation:

Octopus can edit their own gene. They can edit its dna by another gene called rna
(ribonucleic acid). Basically dna is like the blueprint to our body and rna is like the builder that
makes the blueprint real. Rna takes little sections from your genes from the nucleus, and brings
it out to the other cells so it can be translated in to real things. However every creature has rna,
but in most creatures, when their dna gets copied there are unnecessary part in the dna, so the
rna cuts that part with a process called ‘Spliceosome Complex’ in this process helps keep us
stable with all our body part, so this means we evolve slower. However octopuses instead of
slicing their dna they do something called rna editing, which means  they directly edit the
information that the rna carries, which means they evolve faster than us.

Conclusion:

Cephalopod are very interesting especially octopodes because they can almost do everything.

today is Technicraft!

In Technicraft we made a balloon inflate. First stretched a balloon so the balloon will expand easily. Miss Gawith said the one that doesn’t have a long nail should stretch the balloons because the balloon might get rip by his nail. After that we rubbed the ice until it fits into the flask. The ice shrink because it melted in our body temperature. Then we lit the burner and place it under the tripod and placed a gauze mat on top of the tripod. After that we closed the flask with the balloon. The the balloon expanded slowly because the fire heated up the air which made the air jump/run around.

On the parade is a statue of 'Pania in the Reef'. This city has suffered a disastrous earthquake in 1931.   

This city is Hawke's Bay.

Hawke's Bay is located in the east of North Island in Napier.

Once, an earthquake happened in Hawke's Bay, 1931 killing hundreds of people.

About 150,000 people lives in Hawke's Bay.

More than thirty vineyards are open to the public for wine testing.

What can you do in Hawke's Bay:

• You can go to the National Aquarium of New Zealand to encounter underwater animals and experience underwater tunnels.
• Splash Planet is a seasonal waterpark and an amusement park.
• You can also go to the Mahia Peninsula, which has many beaches for surfing, fishing and boating.

Learning Intention: We are learning to follow clues to find a destination and obtain key information about a certain place.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I record five key information about Hawke's Bay using the clues given to me using Screencastify.
